Piece about disappearance (2011)
–choreography–
In PIECE ABOUT DISAPPEARANCE two dancers trace their memory, their senses and their imagination in a profound attempt to access history. Working with documents related to the forced disappearance of people during Argentina’s military dictatorship of 1976–1983, they engage with bodies they had never met and spaces where they had never been. The result consists of two intriguing dances: one offers a concentrated proposal inside the body while the other one searches the boundaries and spaciousness of the outside. How improbable/impossible their attempts might be, they show, at the same time, the fragmentary and incomplete history of the disappeared.
