Deltas (lighting and set design)

__ lighting and set design __

Deltas is an interdisciplinary music theatre performance by composer and performance maker Nahuel Cano in collaboration with musical ensemble Modelo62 and filmmaker Juan Fernández Gebauer. The work combines live music, film and storytelling to connect personal and ecological losses through the lens of grief while following the course of two rivers: the Paraná in Argentina and the Rhine, A the Netherlands. These rivers are among the most heavily engineered and degraded ecosystems in their regions. They have been reshaped by centuries of extraction, trade, and management, turning wetlands into profit.

Deltas aims to translate personal grief and ecological concern into a musical and narrative experience by unfolding an emotional journey. Currents, breath, sediments, blood, erosion, infections, and flooding become perceptible through rhythms, songs, and images of landscapes.
