A proactive commitment to history is a political decision. Constructing it daily means revisiting the past. It is called memory. It’s not allowing certain things to be repeated. It is saying: never again (nunca más).
This work of art is an event in which people meet with the excuse of talking about disappearances. This work of art is an event in which people discuss their history with the excuse of meeting. This work will say there are no things it cannot talk about. It will say obvious things, and it will attempt to remind us: this history is everyone’s. This work will contribute to the cause of memory, to not forgetting. A dance in another space. A movement between the personal and the political.
